DEBBIE HASTINGS
Owner, Website Developer, and Creative Code Junky
Debbie is a graduate of New England School of Photography with over 20 years of experience in pre-press production management and graphic design. She developed her first website in 2000 and has built upon that self-taught skill ever since. Therefore, it’s the perfect match of creativity and technology.
In 2007, Debbie founded Flying Change Webs & Graphics, which provided affordable web design to small local businesses. Seven years later with hundreds of websites under her belt, the company was rebranded to form a new company: DesignMe Creative Group.
Debbie pride’s herself on being a native Maine-iac (born right here in Portland) and was happy to return “home” with her husband Bill and their two children in 2006 after living abroad for 5 years. She loves music, tie-dye, traveling to new places, and being involved in her children’s activities – volleyball and 3-day eventing.
DAVE MORETTI
Graphic Design Artist and Website Designer
Dave Moretti is a talented and experienced graphic designer. He is the creative talent behind numerous logos, print campaigns, and websites for a wide variety of clients. Dave is skilled in various design programs including Adobe’s PhotoShop, Illustrator, and other Creative Cloud tools. His years of experience bringing client’s ideas to life in both print and web versions. Dave is also a frequent developer of the look and feel of client e-newsletters using platforms like Constant Contact, iContact, MailChimp, and Vertical Response.
Like many artists, Dave has a love for music as well and is an avid guitarist, frequent performer, and a true fan of all music from classic rock to bluegrass and Americana. For the past eight years, Dave has had the privilege to design many CD covers, promotional materials and music books for musician David “Dawg” Grisman.
CHRISTINE GOODBODY
Content Manager and Web Developer
Christine has been building and designing websites for over 4 years. After taking a website design course at Southern Maine Community College and loving it, Christine began her journey. She worked with faculty members of the Computer Science and New Media Communications departments to learn the Adobe Suite, CSS, HTML, PHP and WordPress. Her favorite project was designing and developing the website for TEDXSMCCME, a local TEDX talk, which gave her the opportunity to work and learn from many talented people.
In her free time, Christine is the spouse of an avid skier, the mother of two active teens, a crazy red retriever and an orange and white striped cat. She also captains a USTA Tennis team for a great group of fun women. She loves to Nordic ski and run.
BILL HASTINGS
Director of Billing and Finance
Debbie’s husband, Bill, is the go-to numbers guy. He makes sure all our proverbial “t’s are crossed and i’s are dotted”. If you’ve had any work done with DesignMe Creative Group, you’ve seen his email cross your desk. Bill sends monthly invoices, tracks our income and expenses, and makes sure everyone gets paid.
Bill graduated with a business degree from Purdue University and an MBA from Indiana University. Although he is a CPA (he took the test on a dare in Grad School and passed), his real career and passion is New Ventures in Energy Development. He worked 28 years for a major energy company in Houston, which took him all over the world. In 2007, he “retired” and now runs his own Energy Investment business – Nova Atlantic – from his office along side DesignMe.
NALA
Chief Dog Officer and Security Alarm
When you arrive at the office of DesignMe Creative Group you will most likely be greeted by a very happy, very energetic, and very friendly Jack Russell Terrier named Nala. Nala, also known as the Chief Dog Officer, is responsible for keeping the yard clear of elephants and alligators. She does a very good job, as we haven’t seen a single elephant or alligator since we started. Nala also keeps the office on high alert when a vehicle pulls in for a meeting. She is the household pet and loves any and all attention visitors are willing to give.
CHICO
Mascot and Overall Good Egg
Chico is a chicken. Well actually, Chico is a rooster that, when you press his stomach, he clucks like a chicken. Chico gives us comic relief during our long days behind the computer. He’s been known to pass on phenomenal super hero type powers – a term we call “Chicken Power”. You know – those “Aha!” moments. Anyone who walks through the doors of our office in Falmouth, Maine is subject to Chico’s magical Chicken Power. So beware … you never know what creative or geeky ideas will be flying around.
